Countertops are another focal point you can use for your kitchen, especially if it’s well made. One of the best countertops you can obtain for your kitchen are the countertops from LG. As it stands, LG manufactures the Hi-Macs® Acrylic Solid Surface countertop and the Viatera® Quartz Surface countertop. Both are high quality countertops that will suit your home but some are likely thinking about its manufacturing process.
In this post, kitchen cabinet installation pros from Harbour View Kitchen and Bath discuss how LG’s Viatera quartz countertops are made.
Step 1: Raw Material Storage
During this step, the raw materials used to make the quartz countertops are loaded onto a belt to be taken to a mezzanine. This mezzanine will then put the raw materials into a mixer for final blending.
Step 2: Blending and Mixing
Once the materials are blended in the mixer, they’re then moved into a single ring mixer to properly blend the color of the materials together. Once that’s done, the mixture is then loaded for top mold application and put into a press for compacting.
Step 3: Inspection
Once the slabs are made, they are then inspected to see if they’re properly made to become granite countertops. If the slab passes the inspection, a protective film is added to prevent any in-transit damage.
Step 4: Cutting and Shipping
After the inspection, the slabs will then be taken for cutting before it can be packaged and shipped out to their warehouse in Georgia. Afterwards, the slabs will be distributed nationwide for consumer use in their kitchen remodeling or the construction of new homes.
